I remember being in 4th grade at a public school. I was unmotivated and unchallenged; the environment was not stimulating. At Clintonville Academy I was almost instantly transformed into an eager student, striving for excellence. Because each teacher at Clintonville Academy brings a professional knowledge of his/her subject, the students get so much additional exposure than at a public school.

Academics are number one and the students are held to high expectations for both school-work and discipline. A great place to learn and grow!

As parents of children that are in their ninth and seventh years at Clintonville Academy, we are incredibly pleased with the education that they have received. The school has surpassed all of our lofty expectations. More than just a wonderful academic education, they have also received instruction in social responsibility, respect for others, leadership, and numerous other character building qualities that help to shape a well rounded young adult.

I am forever grateful that my parents chose to send me to Clintonville Academy for the entirety of my elementary and middle school education. I can’t begin to name all the things that made it special, but I know its uniqueness is built on small class size, passionate teachers and a willingness to stray from the “typical” curriculum in favor of a more comprehensive education....In such an intimate environment, I was less likely to feel isolated or to be left behind. At Clintonville Academy I learned not only to be passionate about my own education but also to be compassionate. CA provided an unparalleled academic education and complimented it with an incredible holistic education: one that included learning about civic engagement, the environment, health and nutrition, and social justice. Put simply, CA educated me as a whole person, not just as an academic student. The things I learned there —to participate in class, to develop relationships with my teachers and other classmates —stayed with me as I continued on to bigger schools; they are what helped me get to Princeton and make the most of my education here.

Nothing is more important to my husband and me than our daughters’ education. Simply making sure they go to a good school and do their homework is not enough, however. At Clintonville Academy, not only have we found an affordable, good school; we have found a comfortable place. As parents, we have learned how much more involved we can be in education at Clintonville Academy. Our oldest daughter came out of her cocoon at CA and now thrives at her high-ranking, public high school. Now, we look forward to seeing the positive, caring affect Clintonville Academy will have on our youngest daughter over the next 10 years. Thank you, Clintonville Academy! We love you.

Clintonville Academy is a family—I felt nurtured and valued as a child when I was there. I believe that the educational and social experiences from my years at Clintonville Academy helped me to feel confident and motivated to achieve in all areas of my life.
-Emily Kirby, M.S. (Class of 1993)

Clintonville Academy is a great school because it has teachers who care. Smaller class sizes mean better teacher/student ratios and more individualized attention.
-Jennifer Lee (Class of 1982)

Teaching at Clintonville Academy means having parent support for classroom projects and learning activities. It means having opportunities for creative teaching and learning. There is a warm, friendly, family feeling where each child can develop. In my 21 years here I have seen many changes to our building and many students have passed through "Pace's Place", but learning and teaching are still my passion.
-Linda Pace (Second Grade Teacher)

Much of my academic preparation for high school came from Clintonville Academy. I am in advanced French, and on my first semester report card, I had a 4.0 GPA. Clintonville Academy challenged me so I could be ready for high school.
-Adriane Benedict (Class of 2004)

I have had children at Clintonville Academy since 1991. The school makes children aware of more than just the 3R's. Art, field trips, music, language, and physical education are offered as well. Parents work with teachers to help each child learn to the best of their ability. Clintonville Academy students consistently score very high on the Iowa Basic Skills Tests. My sons will be well prepared for college and life!
-Joni Sing (Current Family)

Clintonville Academy had a nurturing environment that always encouraged me to do my best. Having Clintonville Academy as a small, supportive family helped me develop stronger self confidence.
-Kelly Tetirick (Class of 1998)

[When we relocated], our girls attended one of the best rated schools in Connecticut and did so well because they got such a wonderful foundation at Clintonville Academy.
