- Leveled story books - PM Rigby Plus Series
- Additional literature books written for children, age and grade appropriate
- Reading aloud
- Discussion of literature read
- Small group reading and work with individuals
-Learning Centers
- Teacher reading
- Sustained silent reading
- Independent home reading
- Introduction of library books as certain special topics come up

Sometimes we read with our 7th Grade "Reading Buddies."
