  • Children need to know facts to 10 (addition and subtraction), now. Our goal by the end of second grade is to have mastery of addition and subtraction facts to 20. Number lines are on the desks to use until the third grading period. Then they are taken off and can be used if the student wants to get it out of their desk. During the fourth grading period students do not use number lines.
